
Logos Hope Arrives in Takoradi

The Western Regional Minister, Dr Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah says the region has prioritised education on all levels.
According to him this is evident From improving infrastructure to expanding access to educational resources, with efforts focused on ensuring that no child is left behind.
He indicated that Western Regional Directorate of the Ghana Education Service (GES) is actively involved in various educational initiatives.
One such initiative is the “Read a Book a Day” program, which encourages students and the community to cultivate a habit of daily reading.
This program aims to improve literacy rates and foster a love for reading among students.
The Chief Director of the Western Regional Coordinating Council, Mr Fredrick Agyemang made this statement on behalf of the regional minister during the official opening ceremony of Logos Hope, the biggest floating book fair in the world which is currently in Takoradi docking at the Takoradi Harbour.
In conclusion he hoped that the arrival of Logos Hope the biggest book fair in the region will greatly impact the reading campaign by GES in the region and urge parents to patronize the book fair.
